Miscellaneous Stuff!!

NEW, NEW, NEW!!!  Ok, found this site that checks your bandwidth.  Yeah, I know lots of sites do that, BUT, this one shows you in a cool graphic interface that looks like a speedometer -- it is WAY cool. Basically you select from various servers and it checks out your speed.  Below are a couple of my latest results (note that I am using a wireless laptop, so my speed is limited to that of my wireless card):  The latest one is on my "NEW" laptop - a MacBook with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and 4 GB RAM.

Check out the status of the internet:

The Internet Traffic Report monitors the flow of data around the world. It then displays a value between zero and 100. Higher values indicate faster and more reliable connections.

Notes: The Global Response Time graph indicates the time it is currently taking for traffic to travel on the 'net. (The lower the number the faster the internet is running) The Index number is a number from 0-100 indicating the response time of various internet servers. The higer the number, the faster the internet. The "Trend" indicater simply shows if the trend is rising, falling or holding steady -- enjoy!!!
