Under 15

Jordan Sothmann, Men's Under-15, 2005 Grand Prix Champion.
10/9/05: Jordan Sothmann upgrades with his MHSCC effort, and in so doing accumulates enough points to overtake Keegan Mente and Clinch the division! In head-to-head competition, Jordan and Keegan ran 6 races, each winning three. Coming on strong at the end of the season was Kevin Hughes, who came all the way into3rd place! This division may again be one of the most competitive in the '06 season!
9/24/05: A scant 7 points separates Keegan and Jordan, after Jordan upgrades at MP&W! Much of the ink has been to the runners in 1st and 2nd, but Shane VanDeMaat and Kevin Hughes have raced well and often too. It is quite possible that if all top 4 runners race at MHSCC, we will have all of them near or over 4500 points, which is quite possibly the strongest Top 4 we have had in any division in the 3 years of the Muscatine Grand Prix! Thank you guys for finding time to race on the roads!
9/10/05: Keegan Mente "upgrades" at Wild Cat Den and gains a bit of breathing room. Shane Van DeMaat jumps to 3rd, while Kevin Hughes and Josh Karkosh also add to their point totals.
9/3/05: With Stampede results, the race gets closer! The last three races will allow Keegan and Jordan to upgrade points, which could make this even closer yet!
7/30/05: With Fair results, Jordan gains 20 points on Keegan. Taking into season point totals for Keegan and Jordan, less than 1% separates 1st and 2nd place after 5 races. Never have we had such a closely contested division...
7/11/05: 2005 is the first season for Men's Under 15 Division and it is providing the most entertaining, closest contested division of them all! GP newcomer, Keegan Mente, and '04 Under 30 GP 2nd Place finisher, Jordan Sothmann, have each raced all the races and have been very close to each other in all 4!

15-29

Ryan Nicholson, Men's 15-29 age division Champion.
10/9/05: Rodney Kirk, Sabino Rangel and Stephen Luth race well at MHSCC and secure their respective spots in the Top 10!
9/25/05: Curtis Bowden, Nick Nowak, Rodney Kirk and Shane Wiley all race well at MP&W! Here is hoping that all have time to finish the season at MHSCC and will race in the GP again in '06!
9/10/05: Now it is official: Ryan Nicholson Clinches the age division! Rodney Kirk and Sabino Rangel jump way up into the standings with their Wild Cat Den efforts.
9/5/05: I erroneously noted on a 9/3/05 entry that Ryan had clinched the division, but that was incorrect. Ryan, as with many others, will have to battle for his division's title during the final three races. (Here is hoping I haven't pulled a "Dewey Wins," faux pas...)
7/30/05: With Fair results, Kevin Dolan and teammates jump into the Top 10. Soon it will take 1000 points make the page in this division.
7/11/05: Ryan Nicholson ran four GP races last year and finished 5th in his age division. This year he has raced 3 out of the first 4 and finds himself with an 1100 point lead! A few more races Mr. Nicholson and you will learn of the great strategy called the "race upgrade" (we take a runner's best 6 points races.)

9/10/05: No better way to "upgrade" than to win a race outright, and that is exactly what Eric Wortman did at Wild Cat Den! Joining him within the Top 10, were Dennis O'Donnell and Kent Ferris adding points to their totals
